Lower Level rebuild - New Chetwynd Yard, BC

I was not happy with the last yarddesign so I started new. I made some new drawings with AnyRail software. The new yard wraps around a corner. There is the mainline with siding and 3 tracks for arrival, departure and sorting. The longest yardtrack is about 5,50 m long. it could hold 20 cars, two engines and an caboose. Will be enough for my locals to Dawson Creek with it´s max 10 cars, cboose and engines. There is also an engine servicing area with 2 tracks and an additional shopbuilding. The main to the south will end in front of the wall and there is also the spur to the Canfor Planer Mill. The northbound main will end in front of the helix for now. I´ll later extend the track into the helix and add one or two turns down to a later hidden staging below the new Yard. There I could store two outbound trains heading to Chetwynd and two Trains coming from Chetwynd. This will give a lot more of trainaction on the layout.
New trackplan for the lower level
future hidden staging
I started removing the tracks and turnouts for later use. Then I ripped of the old plywood, some of it was scrapped with some parts stored for later use.
After that I screwed the new pywood down and layed the printed trackplan down and pinned the first turnouts to the plan.
After two weeks of working on in some spare time every day most of the track is glued permanently and also the turnouts on the southend are nailed and wired. Bluepoints are installed and also wired. One more day and the northend will be finished, too. I Hope I could run the first train over the new trackage on Sunday evening.
Southend of the yard with Peco Code 83 #6 tunrouts. The Atlas tracks are heading to the engine service area.
Engine service. Still thinking what structure I´ll use. Pikestuff or parts of the Walthers diesel house.
Curves are 80cm radius for the mainline. Second track from the isle side.
When this part will be finished I´ll add the backdrops on this area to start with some landforms and rough terrain....But first this part will be tested in operations...
