Northwestern Wood Preservers Planer mill at Dawson Creek

I started with the last big projekt on my layout. It´s on the upper level at the beginning of the yard at Dawson Creek. During the last weeks I looked on the thing and thought something didn´t match.
The buildings are only mockups
I played a bit with AnyRail an found a final version for the mill....I had to relay some track and turnouts but I´m quite happy with the result.

I ripped out the old track and turnouts and also some plywood and started again. Now the main is in the back of the benchwork. The tracks for the mill are better to operate. I layed the new roadbed and track and started wireing the Blue Point turnout switches and tracks.

New yardladder. Main changes from front to back
new layed elevator Nr.3 track
Short woodchip loading track
the 5 cars and the truck will be inside the mill building later.
The mill buildings will be kitbashed from the Walther´s sawmill kit and also scratchbuild. On the last picture you´ll see where the building will be ( the 5 Boxcars to the right). Behind that you´ll see the track for pulpwood cars and the mainline descending into the yardarea on the backside (with the BCRail cars)

Trackwork on the lower level

I made a small change to the trackwork in the corner of the lower level. The grade was a little bit to big for some of the locos and the curve was a bit tight. New track was glued down after some testing....that was a small improvement for better operating sessions.
Old trackwork with bridge

New lower grade
New trackwork without bridge.
I haven´t decided what I´ll do with the bridge....I made a short straight part for it so it will be a short work to fit the bridge into the right position....I´ll leave it without the bridge for now and make a decision when I´m on the way with scenery....
